of mankinds common archaic roots
Pietro Weber was born in 1959 in the town of Cles (Trentino region, Italy). He studied art in Turin and in 1980 returned to Denno in Trentino. He still lives and has his studio in the town. He is an artist of many facets, from the start with sculpture in the 80s through to theatrical scenery. Pietro has travelled with short stays in many of the main artistic European capitals, but much of his aesthetics were influenced by the ancient places of Istanbul, Ankara and Dakar. Finding materials and three dimensional forms came through a search involving the use and recycling of materials such as wood, cloth and metals. The melding of the warm tones of colours and tar these elements became his recurrent theme. Totally convinced by the convergence of various art forms, Pietro considers the absolute sacredness of Nature as his total reference point.
